RIVA is a comprehensive treatment program that takes advantage of the Moore Center’s longstanding multi-disciplinary, team-based approach to treating eating disorders. The full-day program is managed by a team of dieticians and  psychotherapists under the direction of our Medical Director Mehri D. Moore, M.D.

A vital link in the eating disorders continuum of care

RIVA is designed for patients who would otherwise require treatment in a hospital or other institutional setting. Offering many of the features found at costly inpatient programs, our program allows patients to continue to live at home, work or go to school, and remain among friends and family while they pursue recovery.

This daylong program, which provides a greater level of containment, close supervision and medical management than outpatient care, is appropriate for patients needing a step-up from individual or group psychotherapy. It can also provide relapse-prevention support for patients returning from inpatient or residential treatment.
